that is correct. offshore is good for banking issues, but as far as content goes, im pretty sure it is still where the owner resides. id rather deal with the IRS than the FBI any day

besides, not like theres a mass exodus to offshore hosting. it fits for some, not for others. plain and simple. i havent noticed

i seem to recall a mass panic about hosting in the netherlands a few years back. these things are cyclycle. if you dont wait for the dust to settle, bad decisions could be made. just ask all those that were paying 10K for a t-1 in amsterdam around y2k..


no slight on offshore hosts, but remember, just like anything else, it can be used as a marketing angle. fear has this way of working. the host that does right by you with good pipe, servers and good service, is the one you should staqy or go with. that will stand the test of time. just look at national net.
