Phone Spam blocker programs and virus protection here we come.
Just saw the first phone with broadband connectivity on a T.V. commercial last week. Can't remember who put it out but it looked pretty damn aswesome. Took pictures, video with audio, etc ... Pretty sure it is the first broadband enabled phone anyways.

3g technology has been out for a little while now. Services such as sprint and verizon have already been offering it. Unfortunately its lacking alot of improvement as the boasted speeds, accessibiltiy, and reliability are definately not as advertised. Ive used my cellphone as a wireless modem to connect my laptop for quite sometime with the 3g services, im lucky to get 150kb/sec transfers. The majority of the time it ranges from 30kb to 90kb/sec, (typical 2.5g speeds), and this is via trying 3 different phones and being just a block from a tower. I was just reading in the latest edition of Info World that 3g speeds have boosted quite impressively lately. Verizon boasting, "broadband" speeds that are actually living up.
