Anyone in MA? Up to 38 inches of snow

I remember the winter of 1978 and the snow that fell. Even in the Carolinas, where I grew up, we got hammered again and again. We had to go to school on Saturday in order to make up snow days -- of course after that year, the state legislature made Saturdays optional since it's the Jewish Sabbath, but I remember that while it seemed like a lot of fun the first week or so of the snow, when it kept coming down, alternating with ice, every few days for nearly a month, it made me realize I'd never want to settle as an adult anywhere with snow
