What did you guys have?

for starters,
fried eggplant circles baked with ham and fresh mozzarella
(we had it in Puglia during the last Italy trip),
with home made greek tsatsiki
accompanied by Swanson Merlot, California 2001

Sue made her own gnocci with gorgonzolla sauce
acompanied by Campaccia Riserva, Italy, 1996

I marinated spring lamb (tribute to cj, New Zealand lamb) in mix of red wine, balsamic vinigar, caien pepper, oregano, herbs of Provance for 12 hours,
and after BBQ-ing it it was accompanied by Salanques, Priorat, Span, 2001.
Sue made her "jewish" string beans with anchovies, tomatoes and olives.

No deserts, we are all on the diet,
but Sicilian desert wine and XO cogniac, compliments of MikeW,
went very smooth to finish it all

Vick was right,
the best food comes out when you REALLY like people you cook it for!
