It's nice that the armchair warriors think this visit was "meaningless".
The real warriors however, did not seem to think so at all when they saw their Commander In Chief walk into the room to share a holiday dinner with them, spend time with them, and even serve them food with his own hands. They were screaming themselves hoarse and cheering so hard they were crying. This visit wasn't for the benefit of the armchair warriors, it was for the benefit of the real warriors. So I think I'll trust their judgement on whether or not this was "meaningless", thank you very much.
