Give me a break, Mike ... ESPN got what they wanted.
Actually, I would have picked 9 weeks if there had been a pool on when he crammed both feet down his throat, so he went sooner than I would have guessed. Not too long after ESPN announced his appointment, I overheard a conversation where a professor at the local university offered up the theory that his new position as a football commentator was part of the plot to make him more acceptable to mainstream America. I wonder if it's possible that both crackpots - you and him - are right?
