I agree. I would even go so far as to say there are probably better, if not more, deals made at these smaller gatherings.

Dokk's lake party several years ago was the same way - people there from FL, TX, WY, NC, etc. and Michael's crab boils also bring in the out of towners.

When you take away the huge parties, fancy booths with free goodies, and all the other accompanying parts of the big shows, you leave those that are serious about business with partying secondary instead of the other way around.
