Torone, the problem is how you ask the question:
Do you want to pay less tax? If you only got 62%, that would suck! Do you want to cut government services so you can pay less tax? That would probably only get 35%. Do you want to cut taxes today so that your taxes can go up alot later once Bush is gone? Who knows what that one would get. Tax cuts against a declining tax base is bad math. But you know that.
