The scammers, cheaters, stealers are there. The pros are there, the hodads are there.

Name me one industry that does not have these elements in them, please.

You can find thieves and corruptions in ANY industry.

BUT here's where I see a key difference in adult. The prevailing attitude in adult is "fuck the surfer". How many other businesses do you know of where SOP is to fuck the customer.

In most other businesses, you want repeat business. Keeping a customer is much cheaper than acquisition. Acquisition costs are high here too, and getting higher every day, yet the way we do retention is simply milk the customer for all we can. We extract money from them til they make us stop with no regard to whether they are getting value for their money.

There are exceptions to this in adult, some companies do provide exactly what they propose and reasonable customer service. But the ratio of scammers to honest entrepeneurs is likely very close to exactly upside down from most traditional businesses.
