I have no idea of the actual circumstances under which this guy was shot. Maybe the cops were convinced that he was about to blow a bomb.
What I do know is that the cops have created an instant martyr for the cause. There is a certain emotional appeal to the "Dirty Harry"/kill em all and let Allah sort 'em out school of "thought" [sic] - but it (like enabling terrorist expansion into Iraq) will do more harm than good. Quote:
