I havent seen you say this type of thing much.. it's an area that Bush seems to talk about but actually ignores in his actions. If it appeared he had a strategy for this.. and was making some progress, then the rest of your arguments about having faith in Bush for the long term would be easier to take on board I think.

I agree. The Bush plan has not been as effective as it should be. I think he put the cart before the ox in many instances. Military force is needed, and should be used but there is a lot more that needs to be done.
I read an interview where Saddam was saying he did what he did for the public good, for the welfare of his country. In a way he might have. Maybe the only way to run an arab country is by violence and fear. Saddam certainly kept people in line.
