Well, after all of the years TEASING us about moving it to Mandalay Bay - I'm glad that they finally went and DID IT. I love the Venetian - the bathtub and extra "living space" and the room service... I never had any of the problems that everyone else did with service @ that hotel. HOWEVER - change is good. I want the Venetian to be a "treat" not an every-year-gone-by-stand-by... we stayed @ the Mirage last year to shake things up and it was NOT something I would want to do again. Looking forward to MB, Luxor or something different this time around.

We went there with the kids once a few years ago and it was fantastic. We had watched the inside scoop on how they built the beach inside Mandalay Bay on the Travel Channel and just had to see it first hand. VERY cool and I've read that it CAN be rented for private parties.
