A sense of futility seemed to permeate society. There were many outstanding administrators and good governors but, on the whole, the Roman spirit which had conquered the world seemed to have dissolved into an indolence which preferred ease and comfort to a facing up to the dangers which threatened civilization.

Woooow, way to prove that the people got depressed during the empires decline.

What were you trying to prove again?

When Roman fathers have decided, let's have a party! get orgy! get high, shroomss....

Your article claims they partied during the decline, not that it caused the decline of the Roman empire. I suggest you read the whole article and not just google snippets.

You quoted an article that proved you wrong and then you dance around about it?

I wont even go Peaches on you and nitpick dates, but suffice to say you are wrong. But what is new?

You poor retard, its not even fun anymore.
