Its hard-working population of 5 million have some civil rights, but not too many, enjoy the freedom to spend their money however they like, to a point, and take part in free and open elections, although not too often. The large government juggles the competing demands of Social Welfare, Defence, and Religion & Spirituality. The average income tax rate is 22%. Private enterprise is illegal, but for those in the know there is a slick and highly efficient black market in Automobile Manufacturing. Crime is a problem, probably because of the country's utter lack of prisons. Ignis Fatuus Now's national animal is the parrot, which frolics freely in the nation's many lush forests, and its currency is the sponge ball.
