Looks like you had a great time There is so much to see and do in DC - monuments, storied and historical (Government) buildings, botanical gardens, National Zoo, Smithsonians - you could spend weeks there and still not see/do everything I really enjoy the juxtaposition of architecture, buildings from 3 different centuries all in the same block in places I'm lucky to live about 35 miles from DC (close enough to easily visit but far away enough to not actually live there)
