.net cant be compared to php. php is a scripting language, .net as you said is an oo framework.

what .net can and should be compared to is java server solutions from sun. while i cant and wont try to make claim to all the points about the two systems...

<%

var microsoft.net = 1;
var sun.java = 1;

var current = microsoft.net

if(current =~ m/microsoft/){
  $codered = 1;
  $mssqlworm = 1;
}
else{
  $codered = 0;
  $mssqlworm = 0;
}

if($codered || $mssqlworm){
 print "Your system will be hacked. And you will have down time."
}
else{
 print "Keep processing signups without fear."
}
%>

JMHO :-)

Hoop,

If you can only afford to hire 2nd rate sys admin who do not know how to update a server or apply a patch, you will have problem.
