I only kept playing it because 2 threes came on the flop, with another ace as the river card

Playing Ace/3 before the flop means that you probably have the 2nd to third best hand at yr table.

The chances are someone is already holding an ace with a better kicker , and there is the probability of someone already holding a pair.

I highly suggest the following poker books. The links go to Amazon UK for easy use by you. There are books that are specific to online poker as well (that I didn't list) as it IS different than a real life game.

Not a problem.

Not a bad book to start with. Not great but not horrible. I highly suggest getting one of the Super System books eventually though. It's considered the best by a whole lot of people.

Hmmmm If you play like that you are playing rubbish cards (or the luckiest shit in Christendom LOL ) and a good tight aggresive player will be watching..................... and waiting.He will be able to make an very educated guess at what cards are in yr hand , and then...you are fucked lol

Get the respect of people as a tight player first...then mix it up...surprise 'em

Enough callers 6/7 or 7/8 or 8/9 suited is an interesting hand.

fucking Scandanavians play them all the time. In general if they are from there they scare the crap out of me.They will go on anything and keep betting at you.

The only thing you can do is wait , and wait and wait...lol

I've noticed the difference, few people were willing to take a 3 and a 9 all the way to the river card when playing for real money, but 90% or more are willing to do it with play money.

It may be play money but I treat it as though it were real, or it gives a false sense of security, and makes you play differently when for real.

Typically I don't bet over £1 and have a few small 'Toonie' wagers with young Nick .. thats the extent of betting for me.

Trev its a good game and now I understand it and see the odds with the cards it is much better. Still pissed at the whelp having 4 jacks and beating my full house aces over jacks .. still it was a good crack ..

I need to find a good game of cribbage for money
