Id get a Ferrari or a Lambo.
Whats the point of buying a car for $300k if people dont know it costs $300k, isn't that the purpose of spending all that money on a car in the first place?

I heard this story (urban legend?) about this guy in Holland who bought a new Carrera and on his first day when he took it for its first spin he got pulled over for doing 300km/h on a public road and had his car confiscated....
That would suck

$300K to blow on a car? I *might* be able to squeeze an original Shelby AC Cobra out of that, *maybe*. Otherwise, I'd put a downpayment on a McClarren F1 and pray that said "car money" kept coming in to pay the $1Mil mortgage on paying it off.

i would buy the escalade you have pimp it with around 20k worth of amenities and make it offroad ready so i could use it down here and cruise the country on highway and be able just go anywhere. with about 60 i would buy a nice piece of land down here several acres then i would use another 60 to build a nice country house
i bet i am not even at half of the 300k maybe 20 grand over
so then i would buy me a mini like the one you rented looked pretty nice i would pimpp that fucker too with kick ass engine just so i can brag that i have a small fast car and i believe i still have 100k left
i will buy something for the wife ahh hell another escalade twin and still have about 20k left.
then i can run over 3 or 4 spikes with my wife and kids

Investments that can be "flipped" are usually no longer investments but have become speculations.

I have an aversion to new cars. I don't like the instant depreciation.
Last year's model is fine.

The last Spyker cars were built in 1925, after which the company ceased trading.

So they started building again relatively recently :P

Never been all that much interested in cars as I've always looked at cars as nothing more than something that gets me from point a to point b and nothing much else. One is just as good as another to me as long as it does that reliably.
That said, if I had to buy a new car and spend that kinda money I would throw in an extra $65-$75,000 and buy either a Bently or a Rolls Royce http://www.2sportscars.com/expensive-cars.shtml

Actually my choice in McLaren would be the Mercedes SLR. And I'd have it 3/5 paid off when I got it
