Brie, apple and cinnamon are a delightful flavor mix. BTW Serge, had dinner at my Mom's tonight, and shea asked me: That Russian pon friend of yours.... how did he go with growing his eggplant? So for Mom, did her Aubergine advice work in Florida? h34r:

(we just got back) and departure in another 3 weeks, we have decided to wait 'till winter to start growing stuff again ;-)) why apples sliced on the side? I don't know, my wife is in charge of that one ;-)) ...and I learned the hard way to NEVER question my wife ;-)))

LOL.....I've made some zingers in my life....one of the worst was the stir-fry (which got overcooked) with purple cabbage ...the whole mess was soggy purple.
I am happy you made it through all the storms OK....no power = no fun. |

That sounds really good. I would probably skip the grapes though. Not a big fan.
When I lived in Europe, there was a local pub that served a deep-fried camenbert covered with bilberries (kinda like cranberries) and it's own sauce. Delicious.

Baked brie in either phyllo or puff pastry is awesome. Green apples are a perfect compliment to a soft cheese like that as well.
Damn I haven't had lunch yet and now I'm really hungry! |

![]() I thought we were talking about cheese and apples!!!??!? ![]() I love brie, and anything wrapped in filo is a winner ... that dish sounds delicious. It would also be really nice with sultanas/raisins instead of grapes ... A girlfriend and I are planning a gourmet tasting night for mid november (if anyone wants to drop by the island ..... *hint hint*) with food & wine tasting throughout the evening. Here's the menu if anyone will 'be in the area' and would like to join us ....THE MENU We've designed a menu of dishes to be served in 'tasting sized' portions, with flavours and ingredients selected to match the wines. A selection of breads & cheeses A range of locally grown black & green olive tepanades & a variety of olive oils Duo of Soups Seafood stuffed mushrooms Spicy Warm Duck Salad Kangaroo Meatballs Rosemary Lamb Cutlets Sorbet & Granita Champagne & Fruit Jellies Flaming Liquer Fruit Fruit & Dessert Cheeses ------------------------- THE WINES Sample 13 different wines from the Mount Tamborine Estate Winery, who specialize in producing light summery wines from grapes grown in Northern New South Wales, which will be perfect for the warm November weather & summer menu. Sauvignon Blanc Wooded & Unwooded Chardonnay Verdelho Bianco Dolce Rose Cabernet Merlot Shiraz Cabernet Rosso Dolce Sparkling Cuvee Sparkling Shiraz Hinterland Botrytis Hinterland Tawny I love food
