Many of you probably know this, but just in case ...
First of all, I love Wordpress. I think it is one of the best CMS out there. I have been using it for a few blogs, but I have also used for non-blog sites as a solution for clients that want to be able to occasionally update the pages on their sites with an easy-to-use system. If they have basic computer skills and can use Microsoft Word, they can update their sites. Set up correctly, there are also some great SEO benefits built right in. Setting the permalinks to have the post title in the url (making sure the post title has the right keywords first), h tags in the titles and other optimization is easy to build in too. There are so many plugins that it is easy to offer custom solutions and if you can handle a little php, the sky's the limit. Some of the sites I have done, most people would never even know Wordpress is being used. The point is: Don't just think of WP as a solution for blogs. You can use it for almost any type of site, and there are good benefits to doing so.
