Default Industry Trend

As we watch the dwindling of the "easy money," TGP throw up a join page and reap the cash, there are other indicators:

Here are two, in as many days:

NOOF, (New Frontier Media) a leader in soft core "cable porn," owners of ten.com, have had another setback.
Not only have they consistently lost money on their Internet segment over the past several quarters, they recently lost their contract for one of the 3 networks on Direct TV for "cable porn." (I mentioned this in another thread.)

Then, today, I read about this: "Peach Entertainment Network Files Chapter 7" on XBIZ: http://www.xbiz.com/news/113819

Peach Entertainment is another soft core provider.

I think the message is clear: when you can get free, on tap hardcore porn , why would you pay for soft core? As far as "convenience on the TV channel" goes, it's just not enough. Especially when they charge ridiculous amounts of $$$ with pay per view.

We were dealing with New frontier a few years ago, with both ten.com and with their application for 3 cable channels here in Canada. While we were dealing with them, they let go the entire department we were doing business with. They just reneged on all contracts. They also put a lot of money into getting their broadcast licence for cable here for the adult channels, but lost it all when none of the actual cable or satellite channels picked them up! They always seemd to have very poor business sense.

VERY interesting......
I've done some in depth research on this company, and I have nothing to make me disagree with your statements.

I would certainly like to hear more...

More trouble for the middlemen of the adult cable/dish/Direct Tv network worlds:

Hustler HD, Reality Kings TV Added to Dish Network PPV

Direct deals with content suppliers are increasingly cutting out the "middlemen."
