Ok, so what's the pick of the litter of the off the shelf blogging software this week?
Word Press? Most of my stuff is currently proprietary or hybrid as I like to build in some "unique" capabilities. But I have a new project I'm about to send down to the FFN Skunkworks that is going to be best suited for a canned solution. |

not really sure...I have never had any load issues or mysql crashes because of it
I also have my wordpress install totally tweaked out with extra cache and shit, so I have no clue what a raw install would be like I suggest definitely getting wp-cache plugin |

Just trying to get a feel whether it needs it's own database server. I can tune the heck out of mysql. I can get 200+ db transactions per second out of even a fairly small box.

I have over 200 blogs on my server right now, some of them getting upwards of 1000 uniques a day, not sure what the total for all blogs is, but regardless, my shit flies |
