I was "downloading porn" from the usenet newsgroups when I was a college student in 1993. It sucked to download images at 9600 baud though.

My first exposure to computerized porn was a 3.5" disk full of nude pictures when I was 12-13. I was online at 28.8 downloading 5 meg demos of video games from around 93. Always had computers in my house but never my own internet connection. In 1998 I worked as a computer tech at my father's college and got introduced to constant high speed access. Got my own 56k modem that year and got started.

1993 I remember free feeds from ibroadcast on the free xxx password sites. Unfortunately at that point I didn't have any business sense (and was underage anyhow) so I didn't really do much investigating, but there were lots of free sites kicking around.

Oh my! I built my first BBS inside an old IBM AT 286- I put in 2400 baud wang's and somehow was able to make it run without conflicts. I installed Major BBS that later renamed as Glacticomm. Even with four modems it amazed me on how quickly the numbers got out and people were uploading like crazy. All gifs and text files then.

Thank goodess it was ansi graphics.
