On my recent trip to HK, I picked up an android phone (HTC), which is pretty interesting. Rogers in Canada is starting to push them as an alternative to the Iphone (which they also push), with the Blackberry Pre and third choice on their list. Smart move for them I think, it gives them a horse in almost every race except maybe windows mobile.

For the android phone, the browser is okay to use for normal sites, except for too much side to side scrolling, but still better than some of the alternatives. It supports flash and all, although the flash version appears to be out of date, the idea is there.

I think in the end this might be a workable business model, but I am not sure what would sell for now. JUggcash has a new mobile offering, as does Pimproll I think. Others are coming to the game too.
