I am not sure if it was ever illegal here. They can bust you for soliciting...asking for money for sex. Or keeping a common bawdy house...brothel. But prostitution is totally legal.
The rub and tug joints in Vancouver have to pay huge business taxes. Far beyond what others pay. So even the city makes their end
