First, was he trying to meet her to see if she was video-worthy, or was he trying to invite her to hang out with him at multiple parties, functions, etc? His story indicates both. He tries to play it off like this was a typical meet and greet/audition and she didn't pan out, but it's quite rare, in my opinion, to take a model half a state away, to a party, to a convention, and more... just to guage her. I can usually tell within 10min if I want to work with a particular model or not. It sounds to me like he was playing a dual role here, trying to impress her with who he knows and what he could do, while also trying to 'audition' her. Secondly, I bet she didn't know that her rides were contingent on her shooting for him. He's the one who said himself this was kindof an audition, so why would she have known that he expected her to do shoots already? He claims he knew she was broke and lived in "the ghetto", so maybe he thought she wouldn't be in a financial situation where she couldn't turn down any work he offered. Maybe he thought he had a sure thing on his hands and got all bent when she said she wasn't interested and wanted to go home.

He picked her up, he took her to a party, and more. Unless he told her what kind of situation she was getting into, and what the stipulations were, she had every right to expect a ride home.

Oh and also, he displays the BPAV logo on several of his sites.

The following is from the BPAV website:

BPAV's mission is to:
  • Encourage responsible, ethical and professional practices in adult video production
  • Denounce any type of performer mistreatment resulting from a non-consensual act
  • Promote responsibility on the part of performers for protecting themselves and one another from sexually transmitted diseases
  • Help protect the image of the industry
  • Spread awareness of its best practices through BPAV supporters
Below are the first 3 of BPAV's recommended Best Practices:
  • Disclosure of Acts
Producers must fully inform performers in advance of the nature of any shoot, specifying explicitly who they will be working with and the types of acts they will be performing.
  • Care in Types of Acts
BPAV encourages producers to avoid any situations that place performers in physical danger or lead to a performer feeling mistreated as a result of non-consent
  • Respect of Performers
Adult performers are the backbone of the adult entertainment industry. BPAV believes in the professional treatment of all performers on and off the set.
Sounds to me like, at the very least, he isn't practicing what he preaches.
Welcome to Oprano. Very nice first post.
