I keep hearing that this is going to foment some massive abandonment of the dollar large-scale. I thought it sounded like wishful thinking on my European friend's part, although I suspect he meant well in warning me. Probably something somewhere in between. Over the next 20-50 years the United States will still be the United States.
Do you think there will be an EU? Certainly there will be in EU as recently envisioned with member Countries, including France, rejecting the EU Constitution.
