Truth is, last year I started baking cookies. With odd results. The easiest recipes I screwed up: Sugar cookies, butter cookies, chocolate chip cookies.
The most difficult and unusual ones came out perfectly! Cream cheese apricot cookies, the push-in ones with the jellied filling, even the lintzers. And the biscotti came out magnificant! (Told ya, odd.)
In any event, I was thinking just the other day that this winter I'm going to try and do my very first cakes-from-scratch. I've been a bit trepidated up until now, but ready to give it a go.
