Default Re: Ever write up a whole post and then not post it?

I realize that considering the voluminous amount of material to which I have subjected the adult 'net, it's difficult to imagine me ever having pulled a post, but I have. Many things at many times for many reasons.

I've never regretted *not* saying something. I have, however, had profound regrets about things I've said. (I've even gone back the next day and pulled my own posts when I've worried over whether something I said as a joke was too much.)

Writing is cathartic. I also have a common writer's problem: falling in love with the process itself. Letting the words flow, playing with them, using every poetic device of which one can think...until suddenly drawing up and muttering "what was my original point?" (When you hit "what was my original point?" you know you've gone on way past "too long.")

Periodically I empty out the "draft" folder of my email and delete all the emails I'm profoundly glad I didn't send.
