What the heck, I'll hijack the thread....
I got the coolest card in the mail yesterday. For a "Royal Carnival" type thing, including "jousting." Dress up, games, food, fun for the whole family.
It's to be held on October 31st, a night when I'm busy. (Points for the first "broomstick" joke, but only if it's funny and nonsexual.
)
It's also being sponsored by a local church. Now, I have nothing against churches, especially when they do cool things, as this one apparently does. I get a lot of mail from them advertising their "cool things" for kids/teens/families. I like that. I think it should be required that all churches do "cool things."
I have something "royal" to wear. I doubt I'll talk myself into going though. It's held early enough in the evening so that the rest of my Samhain can proceed as usual. I just want to see somebody joust.
