Hey that's a good idea. But only if you have local kids (that you know from the neighbourhood). Where I used to live, the kids would all arrive from other places in mini-vans because our neighbourhood was better or something.
I do remember an elderly lady in my old town giving away nothing but dimes to kids who came to her door. (circa 1974)
