Another one we can thank superstition for. It's the old 13 is a bad luck number, so although there are 13 lunar cyacles in a year, we have only 12 months and while there were 13 signs in the zodiac, most folk only use 12.
If we could get on to the 13 standard the world would be a better, more peaceful, more balanced place.
