I hear you. My husband hits the gas harder whenever we drive past it. He had a woman in one of his classes who manages a cat shelter here in town. She used to torment him by saying "bring your wife down to see it!" (I never got to see it...but frankly, my husband is just as big a sap as I am and he adores cats.)
Newton and Rolo...my oldest daughter lives in Maine. My "grandpuppy" is a huge, purebred black German Shepherd. She trains them. She's even trained a few police dogs.
