You missed a true comedy genius who was taken waaaay before his time
I highly recomend the DVD "Bill Hicks: Satirist, Social Critic, Standup Comedian"
His comedy isn't for the easily offended, but underneath the obscenity is a ton of social criticism and he doesn't just have an issue nailing both the left and the right.
There is an old joke amongst comedians that goes: "Why is Denis Leary a famous successful comedian while Bill Hicks still unknown in the US? Because there's no cure for cancer" (Bill Hicks died of pancreatic cancer and Denis Leary's special that got him his notoriety was called "No Cure For Cancer")
