See...here's the thing. I always thought *all* men thought that way. Nothing sharp, nothing that could damage...Sykkboy once spent about an hour convincing me that a "Prince Albert" piercing was a real thing. (He sent me a bunch of links so that I could see he wasn't making the whole thing up.)
Like a lot of women, my mother told me to be "very careful" and not "knee a boy *there*" (there was, of course, absolutely NO explanation on *what* was "there") because "you could hurt a boy very badly." OK, Mom. I never wanted to do that in the first place, but now you've sufficiently terrified me about the whole thing. Later in life, during a moment of spousal happiness, I accidently whopped my husband a good one and got to see a man I respected and admired curled up in the fetal position praying to live. (You were right, Mom. That apparently hurts like a bitch.)
Because I read a lot, I've read about men who's phobias regarding the safety of their genitals was so severe they couldn't have oral sex for fear of having it bitten; or in some most severe cases, have sex at all.
Now...I've cut my legs shaving. That hurts like a bitch. I can't even *imagine* what it would feel like to slip with a razor in a more delicate area.
What do you guys do? Do it yourselves or have somebody else do it? Enquiring minds....
