I overall agree with you, Cory.
It was when you yourself started to assume maybe they needed the shoes and felt you needed to say that ... and became that was IMHO just as bad as the person assuming maybe they had looted them, well
that was when I put my two cents in. Since no one got my undertone about assumptions ... well, nevermind, let's just skip it.
Again, agreed, this particular conversation is not very important in terms of the big picture.
