Trev...I'm looking forward to the weekend. My husband managed to score the steaks that were on sale, which has made him delightfully happy. (Yesterday was the last day of the sale, but he forced himself to keep on chugging after his late Learning Team meeting and go grocery shopping.) We had a brand new refrigerator with nothing in it! We may have a nice steak dinner tonight to kick off the weekend. We also have several DVDs kicking around from blockbuster.com that we never got time to watch. Of course, he also has homework out the wazoo to do, but I keep him company working on my computer, so that's actually quite companionable.
The "trim-the-tree" people that the power company sends out to keep the branches off the line are back for the second day. They're just sawing and chipping their little hearts out in the front lawn. The cats are fascinated. I'm not looking, deliberately. I know they're going to trim too much off my beloved tree and I'm going to cry...again. (Years ago I nearly gave a man a total meltdown by coming outside, taking one look, and bursting into tears. He kept saying "it will grow back, it will grow back!") Yes, it will indeed grow back. It always does.
