That's not shallow, or if it is, I'm shallow, too. I can't stand thin men. Once, in my youthful attempts at participating in the '70's - which failed miserably, by the way - I had sex with a thin guy. It was like being attacked by a tree branch. All sharp edges and nothing to wrap my arms and legs around.
The degree in physics, as a metaphor, doesn't come in on the intital attraction. It does, however, determine whether or not the fun first date turns into anything more.
