Thanks to Aly and Djinna from Python for giving away all those MP3 players at yesterday's live event at
www.theadultwebmaster.com. We talked about upsells, marketing strategies, and of course, what Python can do to help webmasters. It was a great success, thanks to everyone who came.
On a different and less savory note, I am ready to wage a personal jihad against the perpetrators of what has got to be the most profoundly egregious example of spam in the adult industry. You guessed it, I'm talking about the bastards behind the gigantic spam list, "The ~Original Pornmasters Newsletter~". I get dozens of copies of this thing every time they mail their list (which is nothing more than harvested email addresses) and today received an "offer" (which does not include a reply-to email address) to advertise in their spam list!
I would hope that few, if any of the people reading this board would even remotely consider advertising in this purported "newsletter" (which they call "opt-out," haha). The people behind this make no bones about the fact that they're spamming and even outline the ways they try to "keep complaints down." I'll tell you what, trafficpump.com emails nearly 700,000 subscribers twice a week, we've been mailing for a long time, and you know how many complaints we get? NONE! That is because we run an opt-in email program which prevents anyone from receiving email unless they ask for it.
I'd like to call upon the community to BOYCOTT these losers and if anyone is interested in taking this further, email me and we'll put our resources together to see what we can do.
In the meantime, I don't have the email address for these guys but I do have their phone and fax numbers, which they gave me as a means of contacting them so I could purchase advertising. Let 'em have it!

Have to say I agree 100 percent with Aly.
You're told things STRAIGHT UP and yet you still continue to go to a board and post BS and innuendo.
If you put as much energy into marketing as you do stirring trouble, you'd have to be the richest man on the planet.

It would be nice if just once you could get your information absolutely correct before posting. No matter what I write to you, you constantly misconstrue it and you are really starting to get under my skin. You try to come off looking like you mean no harm by saying "it's a good thing max cash can be trusted" yet what you are really doing is stirring shit and trying to raise doubt. So that there are no doubts:
As stated in the max cash member area, the new direct links to the separate tour pages of Fetish Hotel will not count referrals since linking in this manner, you are bypassing the maxcash.cgi. Of course, all sign-ups are counted.
By linking to all the sites' main pages (including Fetish Hotel) as directed in the max cash member area (and pushing the link through the maxcash.cgi) - ALL referrals will be counted as usual.
When the next version of max cash is released, linking in any manner will count referrals.
