I am *so* happy! I've had the wedding announcements in the "preorder" stage while she worked out the particulars. Last night I finally got to hit the magic "purchase" button!
I adore the guy she married. This guy *walked* a full SIX miles back and forth to work every day before they moved and bought a car. If you have daughters, make sure they marry the guy with the work ethic. (He's a computer jockey, too, so he always has something to talk to my husband about.)
They'll be having a second wedding later in Bakersfield for his terribly ill parents to attend. We'll go up for that one and I'll get to drive her nuts doing the "mother of the bride" thing.
She was so funny yesterday. She called me and said "Mom, I feel like I'm going to throw up." Well, it's been 26 years since my "I feel like I'm going to throw up" moment, but I assured her it was normal.

When she called later last night, she was happy as can be.
