Something like that.. I would be inclined to find a company that specializes in data restoration.. Not cheap and it would take a while but if it is going to be foudn that woudl be the way.
You can always call the FBI on yourself and tell them you have illegal material in your e-mail file - They ahve great computer forensic experts as well and it would be free
