Thats pretty common I think. The book, Positively FIfth Street, says that in the 2000 WSOP many of the final tables players wanted to make a deal but T.J. Cloutier refused because he felt it was bad luck and really wanted the bracelet.
You should pick up that book if you havent read it Nick, it's totally your style
