I agree, Peaches. I think simply they liked The Sopranos, and why not?
And then for many years it's been said "don't mess with the family" and "do business with the family". Again, a somewhat inside "joke" and somewhat serious comment about a strong loyalty to the community of posters here.
To me, it seems a nature between this and the days of the, ahem, "Vancouver-Aussie Porn Mafia" jokes of years past for this Oprano to have a little bit of fun with a "mob" theme, to poke fun at themselves in many ways.
Oddly though, I see Oprano being criticisized for having a little fun and playing it up for laughs. What makes it even more annoying is this is all the while elsewhere there's board talk of "mob" and "mafia" and "players" and "playas" and "pimp-this" and "pimp-that" and "pimp-the-other-thing" ad nauseum where the morons actually do take themselves
seriously -- yet get little criticisism in return.
... This industry annoys me more every damned day.
