I personally, would rahter know special forces were coming in after me then a whole shitload of regular soldiers. Why ? They have been put through the most extreme training, dealt with the most extreme situations, and have experience dealing with things that alot of regular soldiers will NEVER experience. No disrespect meant to regular soldiers by ANY MEANS as they are ballsy as hell every day they wake up and serve the country.

Your example holds no merit.
Special Forces has one overall use. For low intensity conflicts.
Infantry forces, like Soldiers and Marines are trained high intensity warfare.
Apples to Oranges.
Taking out a terroist camp = Low Intensity Conflict. You would use Special Forces/Seals/Rangers/Force Recon.
But you are getting ahead of yourself. Graduate from Boot Camp first, then you can go on and see if you even qualify for any elite forces. God only knows I tried for years.
