I DID question your comments about the affiliates not being able to sell theproduct and as I stated, it seems to me that if the affiliates are getting the traffic to your site then they are doing their job. The selling of the actual product, once the affiliate has gotten the surfer to your site is up to the site, not the affiliate.
Yes, affiliates can filter their traffic better perhaps, but all in all the sales job begins with the affiliates but it is up to the site to close the deal (imho).

yes, you are 100% correct....it is ultimately up to the end site to close the deal
but by your statement, if Joe Blow sends me 5000 hits of tgp traffic looking for naked chicks, then I should have been able to sell those people my high end glass dildos? that is what is happening, and why most of our affiliates aren't making sales, cause they don't want to take the time to market us better and they are sending us the wrong targetted traffic
and yes, i could spend so more time getting our site looking better, and there has actually been a few nice ideas in here that I am going to workin on tonight (thanks guys and gals)...but in the end it doesn't change my way of thinking, that glass dildos are always going to be marketed better in person and in a display rather than on the internet
which is why strive to 1. pick up new shops, 2. go to fan conventions and 3. sell in person almost 80% of the time
