Id imagine it was because they were targeting the 'regular' porn surfer instead of the high class porn surfers.
Things with a higher price tag usually need a lengthier sales approach to just using 'click here to buy glass dildos' LOL
There is a lot of pre-selling required, listing the benefits of a high ticket product over inferior priced products, quality, design, etc etc all need to be gone in to unless you have a solid source of traffic that IS looking for glass dildos or a sex store with existing traffic levels
