Why does the Catholic Church give a rat's ass about such a subject at all??? Because the only mysticism they give credence to is their own!!
In a nutshell, when it comes down to it, they don't want any competition.
Ironicly, by having this attitude, they put Jesus Christ and Harry Potter on the same level. And they don't even see that they are doing it.
The Church is it's own worse enemy. And you'd think after two millenium they'd have their act down by now.
