I just realized a mistake that has run through this entire thread. Kath is talking about Southern Women, not Southern Ladies,
And from what I know about the South,
Southern Ladies are all genteel and have good manners and would never show a frazzle in public.
but
Southern Women just like to fuck and hell with the manners.
I much prefer a Southern Woman to a Southern Lady
