if the heated sections of the discussion were between you and a LICENSED attorney
why would or should someone choose to listen to your council over the attorneys council?

first of all, i don't give "counsel", i give observations and technical insight into how to solve some problems proactively with technology, rather than act reactively with an attorney.
The point of my post was to clarify to those that did attend the panel, that Greg and I are in agreement. His "hot topic" is about the "click if over 18" because he has seen this line of false security for 10 years by webmasters who feel they are protected.
He agreed with my point that sidedoors should be blocked. his disagreement was only on my use of the word "could" provide a defense, which his stance is it wouldn't provide a legal defense given the precident set by Extreme Associates.
As far as advice goes, Leo Buscaglia wrote this:
Don't give advice. The wise don't need it and the foolish won't heed it.
I also began my talk to say that the points that i bring up are ones that should help you to better understand the issues such that you can now know what questions to ask of your attorney.
Ignorance is no excuse under the law. Knowledge is important for any business person to operate their business.
So why would anyone listen to me? that's up to each indiviidual.. but for those that have, they have been able to atleast be more informed of these complex issues.
Fight the defensive!
