A British TV comedy called "Alas Smith abnd Jones" did a sketch as news readers that went like this.
Newsreader:
(incredibly sad voice) Today there was a fire in a hotel in Spain.
5 Bitish people were slightly injured(very sad)as were 2 Americans and a Canadian (quite sad)
...later
News coming in , an Airliner has crashed off the coast of Africa with 329 on board.There were no survivors. No Bitains ,American or Canadians were aboard. (quite nonchalant) , one frenchaman was (Big smile) the rest were from Ugiboogi or something..(total disinterest)
Now back to the tragic Hotel fire in Madrid.... w
